This training course grants pharmacy professionals with access to the video recording of the live webinar titled Winning the war on malaria, which was hosted on Knowledge Lab in celebration of World Malaria Day 2025 in partnership with Worldwide Healthcare Nigeria and hosted by Pharm Kayode Aiyegbajeje.
Since 2000, an estimated 2.2 billion cases and 12.7 million deaths have been averted due to global malaria control efforts. According to the World Malaria Report 2024 by the World Health Organisation (WHO), there were an estimated 263 million cases and 597,000 deaths worldwide in 2023, approximately 95% of which occurred in the African Region. This represents an increase of 11 million cases compared to 2022 (WHO, 2024), highlighting the need for targeted interventions as malarial morbidity and mortality remain unacceptable.
